ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday condemned the attack on SAMAA TV’s cameraman during live coverage of his speech.
Two men disguised as PTI’s workers beat up SAMAA’s cameraman Muhammad Tariq and broke his camera.
Reacting to the assault, Khan said that he would expel his workers if they were found involved in the violent attack. He paid tribute to media workers for their courageous coverage of heavy police shelling on anti-government protesters.
Speaking to SAMAA by phone, PTI’s senior leader Asad Umar also condemned the assault and pleded an internal inquiry.
He said that a disciplinary action would be initiated against PTI’s workers.
