ISLAMABAD—Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) has condemned a second burglary attempt at the residence of veteran journalist Imtiaz Alam in Lahore, which it termed alarming, and a failure of the provincial government.                           

In a joint statement, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary-General Nasir Zaidi called for an inquiry into the incident and immediate arrest of the culprits.

They also demanded security to the journalist community so that such a situation could be avoided.
