ISLAMABAD\u2014Urdu\nnewspaper Jehan Pakistan has fired four reporters and about seven newsroom\nstaffers in Islamabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An insider\ntells JournalismPakistan.com<\/strong> that an administration official\nphoned up the employees on Friday to inform them their termination letters were\nready for collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight years after\nthe paper rolled off the press, the management now reportedly plans to\nhave only an online edition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier in March,\nthe paper terminated about 12 employees, among them reporters and newsroom\nstaff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The managers have\npromised payment of all dues to those sacked on Friday, which includes\nthree-month wages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
