QUETTA: A judicial magistrate on Wednesday acquitted a journalist in a cybercrime case.<\/p>\n

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had registered a first information report against Zafarullah Achakzai under the Pakistan Electronic Crimes Act (2016) in June 2017 for spreading misinformation against the law enforcement agencies (LEAs) on social media.<\/p>\n

The court on Wednesday issued his release orders. It said that due to insufficient evidence and contradiction in the statements of the witness, it acquitted Mr Zafarullah.<\/p>\n
