Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) in a letter to Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador, President of Mexico has expressed deep concern over the murder of journalist Rafael Mur\u00faa Manr\u00edquez, director of Radio Kashan FM\u00a0portal.<\/p>\n
PPF Secretary General Owais Aslam Ali in his letter, has condemned this vicious murder of a journalist and urged to immediately investigate the matter to find out the motive behind the murder. PPF also called on the authorities to hold those responsible for this brutal murder.<\/p>\n
According to Inter American Press Association (IAPA), on January 20, the dead body of Manr\u00edquez was found in Baja California Sur, Mexico with several bullet injuries on the chest.<\/p>\n
Manr\u00edquez, the resident of Santa Rosal\u00eda in the Muleg\u00e9 municipality in Baja California Sur was missing since January, 19.<\/p>\n
The journalist in past had received threats and since 2016 he was under the safety program of the Procedure of Protection for People Defending Human Rights and Journalists.<\/p>\n
In November 2018, Manr\u00edquez complained that after criticizing the mayor of Muleg\u00e9, Felipe Prado Bautista he had received threats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
