ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Federal Union of Journalist (PFUJ) has taken serious notice of issuance of attendance notice under section 160 of CRPC by anti-terrorist wing of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Section is a punishable section if notice remains noncompliance.<\/p>\n
In a press statement on Saturday, PFUJ President Shahzada Zulfiqar and Secretary General Nasir Zaidi condemned the behaviour of FIA officials who even ignored seniority of a journalist apart from right of maintaining confidentiality of his source of information which he attained on former judge of accountability court late Arshad Malik.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want immediate withdrawal of notice by anti-terrorist wing of FIA and demand respect for journalist\u2019s right of maintaining secrecy of his source of information,\u201d the journalists\u2019 leaders said.<\/p>\n
Nadeem Malik, president of a private TV channel, is a senior journalist and anchor having respect in his followers and viewers and known for credible stories and television content, the PFUJ leadership said.<\/p>\n
