]]> KARACHI: The annual elections of Karachi Press Club (KPC) will be held at its premises on December 29.

This was announced by the Chairman of the Election Committee, Prof Dr Tauseef Ahmed Khan, on Friday. He said that there are two panels- the Green Panel headed by GM Jamali and The Democrats led by Muhammad Imtiaz Khan Faran. The polling will be held from 9am up to 5pm without any break. The number of eligible voters of the KPC is about 1,200.

Kayani attends Karachi Corps War Games: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, visited Karachi on Friday to attend the concluding session of Karachi Corps War Games.

An ISPR statement here said that the War Games, being conducted at various Corps Headquarters, are part of the ‘Azm-e-Nau’ series exercises which started with the Central Command War Games in May.

The process will continue, at other Command and Corps Headquarters, to review and validate operational plans. Earlier, on arrival, COAS was received by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muhammad Ijaz Chaudhry.
