LAHORE: Senior journalist and Geo News anchor Hamid Mir said\nSunday Firdous Ashiq Awan and Jehangir Tareen lacked courage to criticise Prime\nMinister Imran Khan and, instead, they had made his Principal Secretary Azam\nKhan a scapegoat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking in Geo News programme Naya Pakistan, Mir said over\ntwo dozen people belonging to Firdous\u2019s constituency were recruited in the PID.\nWhen the PM learnt about this, he ordered removal of those recruited against\nrules. Mir rejected Tareen\u2019s contention that he had issues with Azam Khan as he\nacted as directed by the prime minister. Mir said Firdous\u2019s claim about\ninterference in her ministry was also not right, adding that the PM sacked\nYousuf Baig and Iftikhar Durrani was because of her, and now she wanted Shahbaz\nGul removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamid Mir said that if somebody removed by the PM accepts\nremoval, the PM accommodates such a person in some other capacity. Mir cited\nexample of Gul example who after his removal from CM\u2019s office did not criticize\nthe chief minister. Gul was rather promoted when he was moved to the PM\u2019s\nHouse. Firdous would not be able to gain any position through attack on Azam\nKhan or blackmail, Mir added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reacting to Mir\u2019s analysis, Firdous in her tweet asked Mir\nto produce the domicile of those recruited from her constituency. Otherwise,\nshe told Mir, what Maulana Tariq Jameel was saying would have to be accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
