KARACHI: Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) on Monday passed a unanimous resolution, condemning the \u2018unlawful action\u2019 of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) in suspending the licence of ARY News.In a press statement issued, the PBA also deplored a heavy fine handed down to ARY. The PBA also demanded immediate restoration of ARY News and withdrawal of illegal Pemra\u2019s orders.It noted that this action was taken by the Pemra with malafide intent. The broadcasters association also condemned the Punjab government for arrest of Chaudhry Tahir Javed, the Secretary General of Cable Association of Pakistan.The PBA called on Punjab govt and Pemra to stop harassing cable operators.<\/p>\n
