LAHORE: Civil Lines police registered a case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab president Ejaz Chauhdry and several unidentified activists for allegedly beating newsmen during party\u2019s protest against rigging in the by-election and police highhandedness on The Mall on Monday.<\/p>\n

According to a police officer, sections 506, 148, 149, 427 and 382 of the Pakistan Penal Code had been inserted in the FIR lodged by injured cameraman Ijaz George.<\/p>\n
