ISLAMABAD: The Federal Capital Committee of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS), met in an emergent meeting under the chairmanship of Zahid Malik on Tuesday, passed the following Resolution.
“The terror attack in Islamabad Kutchery has sent a shock wave across the country in general and in Islamabad in particular. The way the perpetrators carried out their meticulously conceived fatal attack has caused a major concern among all concerned in the capital.

In this perspective and in the wake of some terror attacks on media houses in Pakistan in the past, we, the members of the Federal Capital Committee of APNS, are apprehensive of more terror activities in future as well. We are fully cognizant of the fact that the menace of terrorism has got deeper roots in Pakistan and it will take long time to weed out the terrorists. Even then we request the government and all security agencies to provide maximum foolproof security to the media houses as a special case.”
“It is understood that any untoward incident involving a media house will create further panic in the country. We also urge the Managements of the Media Houses to be more vigilant on their part as well and ensure security measures as far as possible”, said the resolution.
